A Letter From the CEO

For seven decades, agencies, brands, creatives, production companies, and innovators from around the world have entered their best work to New York Festivals. Their work has become part of our collective creative history.

New York Festivals | October 16, 2026

For 70 years, New York Festivals has been woven into the fabric of advertising’s award-winning history—celebrating the ideas, creativity, and people who have shaped our industry across generations.

From landmark work such as Write the Future by Wieden+Kennedy, Nike+ FuelBand by R/GA, Inglorious Fruits & Vegetables and The Black Supermarket by Marcel, to Meet Graham by Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, and HBO’s Audio Mural Installations by BBDO, our international award-winning juries have guaranteed that New York Festivals maintains its place as a global stage for ideas that redefine what advertising can be.

We have seen breakthrough storytelling in The Bear for Canal+ by BETC Paris, cinematic craft in Volvo’s Epic Split, and cultural impact in Like a Girl for P&G Always by Leo Burnett Toronto, Chicago, and London with Holler. We have celebrated innovation in Shiseido’s High School Girl by Watts of Tokyo Ltd., imagination in The Field Trip to Mars by McCann New York, and enduring brand platforms such as It’s a Tide Campaign by Saatchi & Saatchi New York and Small Business Saturday by Digitas.

We have recognized purpose-driven work like Libres des Réfugiés by FRED & Farid Paris, emotional storytelling in Cartier’s L’Odyssée by Marcel, and the cultural resonance of Fearless Girl by McCann New York. We have applauded technological creativity in Dot Translate by Serviceplan, powerful human narratives such as Dead Whale from the Philippines by Merlee Jayme, and the distinctive craft of Forsman & Bodenfors.

These are not just campaigns. They are milestones in the evolution of our industry—work that has challenged conventions, shifted perspectives, and inspired generations of creatives world-wide.

As we look toward the 2027 award season, we invite you and your organization to be part of that continuing history.

The advertising landscape has changed dramatically. New platforms, new technologies, AI, new voices, and new ways of connecting with audiences are redefining what great work looks like. Yet one thing remains constant: great ideas deserve to be recognized.

New York Festivals was created to champion work that moves the industry forward—not simply the biggest names or biggest budgets, but the ideas that demonstrate originality, craft, courage, cultural relevance, and impact.

For seven decades, agencies, brands, creatives, production companies, and innovators from around the world have entered their best work to New York Festivals. Their work has become part of our collective creative history.

We would like your work to be part of the next chapter.

If you believe that the work your and your teams are creating today deserves to be seen, debated, celebrated, and remembered, I hope you will participate in the 2027 New York Festivals Advertising Awards.

The industry continues to evolve so does New York Festivals. Our commitment remains the same: to discover and celebrate the work that deserves to stand the test of time.

The 2027 competition will open on October 30, and we invite you and your creative teams to join that continuing history.

We look forward to seeing what you create next.
