Jury Chair

Pete Gosselin
Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer CAPE
ABOUT

Pete Gosselin

Pete Gosselin is a Canadian-born creative whose career spans three continents and nearly every product category imaginable. Whether crafting brand platforms or weird one-offs, Pete brings a smart, entertaining perspective to every brief.

He began his career in London, cutting his teeth in one of the world’s most competitive markets. At agencies like Lowe, M&C Saatchi, and Leo Burnett, he was mentored by some of the most awarded creatives in the industry and found his footing as a sharp, emotionally fluent storyteller.

After brief but formative stints in Amsterdam with StrawberryFrog and Wieden+Kennedy, Pete moved to Auckland, New Zealand, where he deepened his expertise in digital and content creation. While working at BBDO and DDB, he also launched a YouTube channel and discovered the upside of thinking like a maker, not just a writer.

By the time Pete landed in New York, he was a fully-fledged creative hybrid, made of equal parts strategist, storyteller, and digital tinkerer. He’s since brought that approach to agencies including Grey, Droga5, Havas, and WongDoody, and now as the Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of CAPE.

Pete’s work has been recognized at every major global awards show, with highlights including a Titanium-nominated campaign titled The First Ad in the Blockchain — produced with just $23.15 in bitcoin. Though, depending on the day’s exchange rate, he’s still not sure whether it’s the cheapest or most expensive ad in history.
