Consumers today are in control and they are savvier than ever. To meet their increasingly demanding preferences, marketers have broken through the bonds of traditional advertising, and storytelling is now the thread that runs through everything. So how do brands develop content that breaks through?

This panel will discuss not only what it takes to break through but how brands can, when they get it right, even drive the cultural conversation.



Beth Collins Ellard, Executive Vice President, Media – The Advertising Council, NY

As Executive Vice President of Media, Beth Collins Ellard oversees the media function for The Ad Council, securing donated media support for the organization’s 50 national public service campaigns. To this end, Ms. Ellard is chiefly responsible for the Ad Council’s relationships with over 200 U.S. media partners including television, print, digital, radio, out-of-home and emerging media.


Maya Draisin, Associate Publisher & Head of Marketing – WIRED, NY

Maya Draisin is the associate publisher and head of marketing at WIRED, overseeing the development of programs and ideas that drive revenue for the brand. She previously served as WIRED’s promotions director, special projects director, and brand and strategy director. Before joining WIRED, Draisin cofounded the Webby Awards and its judging body, the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences.

Moderated by Georgia Galanoudis, Managing Director – Imprint, NY

Georgia Galanoudis has been managing successful content driven marketing programs for clients for close to 20 years. Her audience-centric approach and integration of brand DNA into content strategy help clients develop innovative ways to engage with their core customers and drive positive brand experiences.

As Managing Director at Imprint, a Sullivan content lab, she focuses on developing content-driven integrated programs across digital, social, mobile and CRM. Georgia has led the strategy and execution of a myriad of integrated programs for such clients as Proctor & Gamble, Walmart and Bank of America delivering sales, marketing and growth initiatives with content as the common thread. She is also the Co-VP of Programming for NYWICI and Co-Chair of the Research committee for The Content Council, the definitive association resource for content marketing, education, insights and thought leadership.


The New York Show Creative Panel Sessions will take place at the NYIT Auditorium on Broadway, located at 1871 Broadway (btw 61st & 62nd St). Doors open at 9:30am.

All 2016 New York Show℠ speaker series, creative panel sessions and networking events will take place on Thursday, May 19th. NYF’s annual gala will be held that evening in the renowned Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall, Broadway at 60th Street, with a cocktail party in the Ertegun Atrium and the awards ceremony immediately following in the Rose Theater.
