New York, NY – February 5, 2019: New York Festivals® Advertising Awards announced the first 20 members of the elite 2019 NYF Executive Jury.
“It is an incredible honor to be asked to be the first ever Jury President of the prestigious New York Festivals,” said Eastwood. “As the Jury President I want to encourage the judges to award work that not only actively engages consumers but also achieves results. But my hope is to go even further than that. Bill Bernbach once said, ‘All of us who professionally use the mass media are the shapers of society. We can vulgarize that society. We can brutalize it. Or we can help lift it onto a higher level.’ We’ll be looking for work that works. But, more importantly, we’ll be looking for work that lifts creativity and, indeed, society to a higher plane.”
New York Festivals International Advertising Awards® announced its world class Grand Jury. To date, NYF’s powerhouse 400+ Grand Jury represents the most diverse brain trust of global creative minds in the advertising industry from 65 countries.
NYF’s Advisory Board, formed immediately after the 2018 Executive Jury judging sessions, pulls from a brain trust of creative leaders representing 5 continents. Their sage advice and industry expertise were influential in improving the overall competition and they will provide wise counsel throughout the year.
Creating amazing work may be its own reward. Having your work seen and recognized by the global creative community is inspiring, encouraging and energizing. Nice fuel for your next project.

It’s hard to imagine New York Festivals without Michael Demetriades at the helm of the AME Awards. His ability to network across all continents around the globe is second to none. The coveted 2018 Best of Show Award was awarded to “Fearless Girl” McCann New York for client State Street Global Advisors’ SHE fund: an investment fund for companies with more women in leadership. The statue of a fearless young girl standing up to Wall Street’s Charging Bull became a symbol of female empowerment, the icon of International Women’s Day, a piece of city art, and a social media phenomenon. People across the world emulated her stance as an expression of personal empowerment. “Fearless Girl” was in the winner’s circle taking home 3 Grand Trophies and an impressive 9 First Prize Awards.
On May 17, THE 2018 NEW YORK SHOW was held in JAZZ AT LINCOLN CENTER’S FREDERICK P. ROSE HALL. Members of the Jury, Press, and Advertising Creatives from around the globe joined this special evening and witnessed the world’s best advertising. This year, Focus Media Group was honored to receive the 2018 New York Festivals Top Valuable Media Award.
New York, NY – May 7, 2018: Debi Mazar, film/television actress will take to the stage for the second year in a row on May 17th to emcee the 2018 New York Festivals Advertising Awards® New York Show℠ at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall. Ms. Mazar will honor award-winning creative entries from around the globe selected as trophy winners by NYF’s Executive Jury.
This year’s judging sessions kicked off April 20th with a jury of 32 members strong representing 17 countries. Jurors assembled together sequestered in a darkened room, armed with iPads programmed with NYF’s judging app ready to review shortlisted creative campaigns in all media from around the globe. The Executive Jury, through multiple rounds of collaborative judging, determine the 2018 World’s Best Advertising® award-winners.

New York, NY – August 14, 2017: New York Festivals®, now in its 61st year, announced the appointment of Susan Glass Ruse to the position of Associate Executive Director of NYF’s International Advertising Awards competition. Ruse, an accomplished creative strategy leader will work in tandem with SVP Executive Director, Michael Demetriades spearheading the global development of NYF’s flagship competition.

New York Festivals® International Advertising Awards World’s Best Advertising℠ showcase traveled to Beijing China and took to the stage at the 16th annual IAI Advertising Awards on July 8th and 9th. A presentation of NYF’s 2016 Grand Award winning work was screened on July 8th. NYF rep, Jinjun Wu presented the showcase before a crowd of 800 representatives of China’s most prominent advertising agencies and media companies held at Beijing’s Communication University.

New York Festivals World’s Best Advertising was in the spotlight at Milan’s Anteo sapzioCinemao to participate in a special presentation called “Advertising Takes the Stage.” The March 18th event was hosted by TVN Media Group’s Pubblicità Italia, Italy’s most prominent advertising, marketing, and communications magazine, and featured a screening of New York Festivals 2015 award-winning entries.
New York Festivals 2015 award-winning entries traveled East to Shanghai and Beijing for a showcase screening at the Financial Times Chinese appreciation and marketing luncheon on August 19th and 20th.
New York Festivals International Advertising Awards World’s Best Advertising℠ competition was in the spotlight July 1st through July 3rd in Yeoju, South Korea. An accumulated 60,000 visitors viewed the World’s Best Advertising℠ showcase at the three-day exhibition featuring more than 5000 of New York Festivals award-winning ads, creative workshops, keynote speakers and a special recognition ceremony honoring award-winners from South Korea and Asia.
New York Festivals World’s Best Advertising℠ showcase of award-winning entries traveled to Taipei, Taiwan this January. Brain Magazine, Taiwan’s leading advertising/marketing/pr trade publication, hosted a special screening on January 14th presented by prominent advertising executive, Ian Chen, Group Creative Director of JWT Taipei. The 3-hour showcase was held at a theater at Brain Magazine’s office in Taipei and featured the 2014 New York Festivals® award-winning First, Second, and Third Prize entries, as well as Grand Prize winners and Best in Show. This week New York Festivals traveled to the sunny town of Miami to visit with advertising and design students at the Miami Ad School and University of Miami.
New York Festivals International Advertising Awards® World’s Best Advertising® is Bogota bound! NYF’s award-winning television commercials will be featured at the “Creative Challenge” event taking place December 3rd in Colombia.
New York Festivals® International Advertising Awards® World’s Best Advertising® showcase of award-winning television commercials will travel to Istanbul Turkey to take part in MediaCat's “Brand Week Istanbul.” New York Festivals 2013 Gold, Silver and Bronze medal-winning work will be screened on November 13th and 14th at Ciragan Palace Kempinski.
The World’s Best Advertising® was showcased at the Rex International Tradeshow for Advertising, Marketing and The Mass Media in Kiev. Rex is the Ukraine’s largest advertising and marketing event taking place September 24-27th at Kiev Expo Plaza.
