On Advertising:

New York Festivals: What is your all-time favorite ad?

Gabriel Schmitt: The Lego Movie. It's fun, it rebuilt the brand, made a profit of U$229 million, and people don't even know it's an ad.

New York Festivals: In 3 words or less, what do you think about 6 second commercials?

Gabriel Schmitt: One more opportunity.

New York Festivals: What philosophy drives your career?

Gabriel Schmitt: You are not as good as you think you are, so get back there and keep pushing.

On Life:

New York Festivals: Who’s a creative icon that inspires you?

Gabriel Schmitt: John Hammond. Although he is not a creative, per say, I love how he kept discovering the most amazing talent, year after year after year.
From Aretha Franklin, to Bob Dylan. He just kept pushing.
