David Guerrero is the Creative Chairman of BBDO Guerrero. Since starting his agency in 1998, the office has been one of the most consistently awarded agencies in the region. Under his leadership, his agency was ranked by the Gunn Report in 2013 as one of the top 50 creative agencies in the world. In 2014, Campaign Asia named David its Southeast Asia Creative Person of the Year and last year was the first creative to be recognized by the country’s marketers for “Outstanding Achievement in Marketing Communications.”
The agency is famous for, among others, its Philippine tourism campaign “It’s more fun in the Philippines” that began in 2012 and resounded both nationally and worldwide. The campaign was awarded the Warc Asia Strategy Grand Prix for Effectiveness. BBDO Guerrero was recognized in 2014 in the Warc 100 world’s best and smartest marketing campaigns as number three in the world, and number one in Asia, and was ranked among the world’s top 20 smartest creative agencies. In 2016, the agency and the Philippine Department of Tourism received the Gold Award at the Asian Marketing Effectiveness and Strategy Awards for the campaign’s sustained success.
Among its many other citations, BBDO Guerrero has been awarded in 2015 the Grand Prix for Effectiveness at the Asia-Pacific AdFest, Agency of the Year by both the Philippine 4As and the Kidlat Awards, and as Network of the Year by Spikes Asia, Campaign Asia-Pacific, and Campaign 2017.
London-born David received his BA (Hons) in International Relations from the University of Sussex and then took up advertising at the School of Communication Arts.
