Chief Creative Officer, Ogilvy & Mather, India
Sukesh started his advertising career in 1999. He got his big break when he joined Ogilvy in 2000. In 2017, he was elevated to the post of Chief Creative Officer.
He has used his origin to tell compelling stories that relate with masses in India - a country of over billion people. He has had the opportunity to create work that has inspired Indians to think and feel differently about some age-old cultural beliefs. Create pieces of work that did its bit in shaping India's culture and thinking.
What inspires him the most is the love of people. Messages from people across the World, when his Google Reunion film went Viral. The positive conversation that was generated post JSW Steel Project on Women Empowerment. An email that he got from a young first time voter post his Google Negi Pledge to Vote project, where the young boy inspired by Mr Negi, India's first voter who had never missed an election, decided to cast his vote in that election. The calls and mails from people who enjoyed the recent Tata Sky Acting Adda Campaign with Mr Bachchan, the Asian Paints Homes Not Showrooms and the Indian Railways campaign, inspires him to create work that people love.
Today he is creating work that is resonating not just in India but with the region also. His body of work on Shan Masala is a true testament to that. Projects that have united people living across the border. People living in the world.
His work on Tata Sky, Asian Paints, Google, Amazon, Shan Masala, Fortune Oil, Bajaj, JSW, Economist, Indian Railways, Mattel, Fox Crime, Wildstone, Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation, Unilever, IAPA- Adoption Awareness and ICC Cricket World Cup has got him written about in various media as one of the creatives to watch out for. He was one of the few people from India, listed in Campaign Asia's 40 Under 40 in 2015.
Over the years, he has won over 300 national and international awards to date. Cannes, One Show, Clio, D&AD, Adfest, Spikes, Young Guns and London International Awards.
In his free time, you will find him running or scuba diving.
