Creative Technology Officer, DDB New York, USA
Before finishing art school, Alexander was swept up in the dot-com bubble and then became involved in the advertising industry. Since the late 90s he's been working to integrate a hybrid discipline of creative, strategy and production with an in-depth understanding of emerging technologies and how they can serve the creative process. A discipline that has been applied over the years to award-winning projects for brands such as Marriott, Macy’s, CVS, Chrysler, Budweiser, State Farm, and Lockheed Martin. Including the award-winning Field Trip to Mars group VR experience which won over 100 awards across the industry, including the most awarded campaign at Cannes 2016 and the One Show 2017.
Alexander joined DDB New York in 2016 in the new role of Creative Technology Officer, an updated version of the traditional CTO, and was one of the top 10 creatives for 2017 at the One Show. He’s a mentor for R/GA’s and the New Museum's accelerator programs, has been a guest teacher at Miami Ad School and speaks at events including TEDx, Advertising Week, Maker Faire and the New York Media Festival. Alexander is husband to the creative director Nicole Miller, father to their son Elliott and resides in Brooklyn with their dog Charlie.
