Tara Mullins joined the Ogilvy Media Influence team in New York in 2011, bringing an extensive media background across government, corporate, healthcare, sports marketing and consumer marketing.
As Senior Vice President, Tara is responsible for developing strategic, media led campaigns for Ogilvy PR’s clients that includes global media relations, executive visibility, crisis communications, social media and content creation. Tara consistently secures placements with top-tier media including: The Wall Street Journal/Dow Jones Newswire, The New York Times, Reuters, Associated Press, Bloomberg News/TV, Forbes, CNN, CNBC and Fox Business Network.
At Ogilvy PR, Tara has worked on media campaigns with many leading brands including DuPont, Nationwide, Castrol USA, MedImmune, ACT Inc., McGraw-Hill Education, Ford Motor Company, American Express, Procolombia, and the government of Mexico.
Additionally, Tara works with Citizens Financial Group to execute a national media relations campaign to promote the bank's portfolio and executive team – most recently supporting the bank’s IPO [most successful financial services IPO in U.S. history].
Currently, Tara serves as the account manager for the award-winning global relationship with Brand USA, the U.S. government agency focused on attracting 100M tourists by 2021. As part of the work, Tara manages the media relations program across 14 markets where Brand USA operates to bring it to life locally. As a result of these efforts, coverage has been published by CNBC, MSNBC, Xinhua, Globe & Mail, AFP and more.
Prior to joining Ogilvy PR, Tara spent five years with Nike Communications, Inc. where she grew through the ranks from an Assistant Account Executive to an Account Supervisor. At Nike, she led and executed media campaigns for a variety of luxury consumer brands including Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, Miraval Resort & Spa, Keeneland Thoroughbred Racing and Sales, American Express Platinum Card, Clarins USA and Pernod Ricard. While at Nike, Tara also worked with Olympic gold medalist, Bryan Clay and created a media campaign to leverage his image on the Wheaties cereal box after the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
Tara has won multiple awards including most recently, 2016 PR Week “Best Public Sector Campaign”, 2015 Gold SABRE “Multimarket Campaign of the Year” for Brand USA, 2014 Gold SABRE “Multimarket Campaign of the Year” for Procolombia and 2014 PRSA Big Apple Awards for “Reputation and Brand Management” and “Marketing Consumer Services – Travel, Tourism & Hospitality” for Procolombia.
Tara earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and a minor in Business Marketing from Marist College.
