With over 15 years in “the biz”, Rene has worked on everything from print to outdoor to radio, but truly found his calling in digital. In 2007, he joined Proximity Canada as a little ol’ copywriter. There, he stretched his digital wings and won over 150 industry-recognized awards for various clients including RBC, Shaw, Smart car and Gillette. He’s won the local shows as well as The Webby Awards, The One Show, Caples, Cannes Lions and New York Festivals. He’s also the mind behind the M&M’s Find Red campaign - one of the most successful social media campaigns in Canada. No slouch to judging, Rene has judged Cannes, Caples, Echoes, New York Festivals, CMAs and the Smarties Mobile Awards. He's now VP Creative Director at BIMM – a data-driven creative shop where he leads Enercare and other national accounts like Shaw, and continues to win the shows.
